Stage 5 upgrades to Pinjarra Road are on the home stretch, with final works set to be completed and the road re-opened to the public by next week.
Finishing touches will include installing anti-skid to the medians, which will require the current traffic flow to be changed.

Upcoming works and traffic switch
Works to install medians between Foulkes Place and Sutton Street will be carried out from on Monday, 9 June. The current traffic flow will be modified in advance on Thursday evening, 5 June, so these works can be carried out safely.
The modifications of the traffic flow will include:
- Opening the outside lanes on both the eastbound and westbound carriageways, but closing the inside lanes of each to accommodate median works.
- Traffic will be able to drive in each direction via the outside lanes, however vehicles will not be permitted to turn right.
Installation of the medians is expected to be completed by Monday, 9 June, with all lanes to be re-opened without restrictions from Tuesday, 10 June (dates may change subject to weather).
Recently completed works
Several tasks have been ticked off in recent weeks to prepare the road for re-opening, including both the laying of asphalt and line marking.
What’s next?
The next stage of Pinjarra Road upgrades will focus on improving the intersection at Anstruther Road.
More information, including timelines and traffic updates, will be made available on the City of Mandurah website soon.
