The Mandurah Readers' and Writers' Festival is returning in 2026, offering an exciting opportunity for the community to immerse themselves in the world of literature.
Presented by the City of Mandurah Libraries, this annual event will take place from Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 January 2026 at Seashells Mandurah.
The festival aims to foster a love of reading and literature while encouraging creativity and lifelong learning among all attendees.
This year the festival brings together an array of established and emerging storytellers from across WA.

The events feature a wide-ranging selection of authors of fiction and non-fiction works across a variety of topics.
Books by the authors featured in this year’s festival will be available for purchase at the Festival Bookshop.
General Information
- All events are for audiences over 15 years.
- Tickets need to be presented at the door.
- All events run for approximately one hour.
- There will be opportunities to engage with the writers, with time allowed for questions.
- The writers are happy to sign copies of their books and have photos taken after their presentations.
- Books are available to purchase from the festival book-store with cashless payment preferred.
Refreshments
- Tea, coffee and water are provided throughout the festival.
- The opening panel on Thursday night includes drinks and finger food.
- Please advise of dietary requirements when booking for catered events.
- There are a number of cafés within walking distance of the festival should you wish to purchase refreshments or a meal.
