The City of Mandurah recognises that markets bring vibrancy, activation and activity to an area. Market guidelines have been developed that apply to markets operating within the City Centre area utilising public space.

Markets are an important part of community life and tourist attraction, and can make valuable contributions to the local economy. Public space also has a right to be accessed by the wider public, and market activities can impact the operations of local permanent businesses. The guidelines have been developed to help create a balance in use and provide a clear framework of the approval process.

These guidelines are in place for the current trading season.
