About the Event

Inclusive Communication Workshop

Inclusive communication helps create spaces where everyone can connect, participate and feel included.

This free community workshop focuses on two simple and effective tools that support people with disability: Visual Stories and Communication Boards.

Discover how these tools make it easier for people to understand information, prepare for new experiences and take part in everyday activities.

You will also learn where to find local and online resources and how to create your own Visual Story.

Support workers and people with disability are welcome to attend.

A creativity table will be available offering a relaxed and engaging space while still being included in the workshop experience.

The workshop is open to anyone wanting to develop more inclusive communication practices.

Accessibility

The venue offers ACROD and general parking, accessible and standard toilets, quiet spaces for breaks, and sensory resources that can be borrowed during the session.
