Strength for life, living longer stronger

Strength for life, living longer stronger is an evidence-based progressive strength, training and exercise program designed for people over 50.

 

This program is an affordable, high quality, individualised and results oriented program with scientifically proven strength training programs in the long term.

Not sure what to expect from this 6 week challenge?

Here is the rundown: 
  • This 6 week challenge runs from 2 July - 13 August.
  • There are 4 programs within the challenge to choose from depending on your fitness level and goals. Our team will help you choose one that suits you best.
  • Your workout schedules will be provided to help you stay on track!
  • Our in-house nutrition coach will give you a food plan to assist you with your healthy eating habits.
  • To help you measure your success in the Winter Warrior challenge, fitness tests will be conducted before and after to show you how much you have improved over time.
  • Our state of the art body scanner will provide you with an in- depth health analysis before and after the challenge.
  • All MARC Winter Warriors must bring a water bottle and towel- this program will definitely make you sweat!

Join us on Sunday 19 June 2022 for our Fun Run for Men's Health Week.

Regular physical activity such as running can significantly improve mental health, self-confidence, healthy ageing, and quality of life and this year we are celebrating Men's Health Week 2022 with a 2 km run starting and finishing at Calypso Beach (Halls Head). 

Run the 2 km track or challenge yourself with two laps of the course to complete a 4 km run! Reward yourself after your hard work with a free cooked breakfast at Calypso Reserve.

Details:

Race start time: 
All participants to arrive at 7.45am for 8.00am race start.

What to Wear:
Comfortable running shoes, suitable running attire and water bottle.

Track: 
Track comprises of 1km out and back (total of 2 km). Starting at Calypso beach toilets, runners will head north along a shared path, 1 km towards the end of the path then turn around and head back. Option for 2 laps to make 4 km or one lap for 2 km.

Health and Safety:
The track is a shared path and does not enter on any roads, thus vehicles should not be an issue. Runners stick to the left hand side of the path at all times. If you are overtaking participants, please be mindful of keeping left after overtaking. As it is a shared path, care must be taken to avoid other local traffic.
